 Mary Viola

President of Wonderland

As the President of Production at Wonderland Sound And Vision, Mary is responsible for building, overseeing, and producing the company’s feature and television slate.

She most recently produced the hit teen comedy THE DUFF starring Mae Whitman, Bella Thorne, and Ken Jeong which CBS Films released in February 2015.  Other films she produced for Wonderland include PLAYING IT COOL starring Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan, as well as Chris Evans’ directorial debut BEFORE WE GO in which Evans stars alongside Alice Eve. Both of these films will be released in summer 2015.

Her feature development slate includes projects such as Disney‘s TINK starring Elizabeth Banks, Fox’s RUIN to be directed by Wes Ball (THE MAZE RUNNER), and THE BABYSITTER by writer Brian Duffield which ranked at the top of the 2014 blacklist.

Television projects that Mary is currently executive producing for Wonderland include "Kevin From Work" and "Shadow Hunters" which is based on the Mortal Instruments trilogy. Both shows will air on ABC Family in 2015/2016.

In addition to overseeing film and television, Mary is also responsible for producing WB’s award winning online series Aim High 1 & 2.

Prior to Wonderland, Mary started her career working for director/producer Barry Sonnenfeld (MEN IN BLACK). She then spent three years in Jerry Bruckheimer's development department working on films such as PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN and NATIONAL TREASURE before leaving to become the film executive at Thunder Road Pictures where she produced BROOKLYN’S FINEST and WE ARE MARSHALL. It was on set of the football drama where she first met prolific filmmaker and Wonderland founder McG.

Mary thinks this Shakespeare guy got it right when he once wrote "And though she be but little, she is fierce".  Mary encourages you to check out some of his earlier work - she believes he has a good voice and totally would have made a real splash in Hollywood.
